It's a memory to the zolder...
It's that candle holder hanging on your ceiling! Ha, I got it in 3 seconds...
Cool photo, Eric....for most folks in America I thik this might be a unique sight... but here, so common, yet beautiful when the candle light reflects off the decorative celing.
the shape looks like the lighting fixture on the ceiling in the "orange room" of the Zolder.

Thanks for playing along, everyone. You're ALL right, in a way. Indeed, the picture is a view from directly beneath the candelabra in our family's living room, with golden candlelight bathing the ceiling in patterned color and shadow...
But I was also struck by the picture because of its abstract form and suggestive colors. It feels like "home" and "Amsterdam" to me -- terms which certainly apply to the old Zolder -- and it reminds me to take a fresh perspective on eternal truths in times of transition.
